In 2016, Town Meeting approved a Planning & Design grant of $75,000 to the library. On May 10, 2017, Town Meeting voted Warrant Article 23 approving the project (not the funding) and authorizing the submission of the application for an MBLC grant. The project coming to a vote on Nov. 2 is the product of the process begun by Town Meeting.
