Charter School Funding, Part 2: The Solution

In Part 1 of this series, I looked at how a budget crisis caused by a systemic shortfall in state aid to public schools is being made worse by a fundamentally flawed charter school funding law, especially for school districts with low or declining enrollment like Amherst’s.

In this Part 2, Peter Demling suggests what specifically can be done to improve this law, and shares why he thinks a new approach is needed to help bring about these changes.
